Fellowship: Elarion Class Guide

Fellowship: Elarion Class Guide

1. Introduction

Elarion is an Agility Ranged DPS hero who changes the rules of engagement thanks to his unique mobility. Unlike most mages or archers who must stop to cast, Elarion can deal damage on the move. This makes him the undisputed king of kiting (maintaining distance). If you enjoy dynamic gameplay that requires constant movement and resource management, this hero is for you

2. Pros and Cons

Pros Cons
Unmatched Mobility: Can cast nearly all abilities while moving
Resource Dependency: Damage drops significantly without properly managed Focus.
High Sustained Damage: Smooth and fluid ability rotation.
High Micro-Control Requirement: Requires simultaneous attention to the Focus bar, cooldowns, and positioning.

Survivability through Movement: Harder to hit with skill shots because he is never stationary.

Fragile: Like most Agility characters, he is a "glass cannon"—if caught by crowd control, he will die quickly.

3. Class Mechanic: FOCUS

Focus is the heart of Elarion's gameplay. It is not Mana that recovers automatically; it is a resource that must be earned.

  • Indicator: The swirling purple bar beneath your character.
  • Golden Rule: Never allow the bar to be empty when you need burst, and never overcap it (don't use generators when Focus is full).

The Gameplay Loop:

  1. Generation (Building): Spam Focused Shot to fill the purple bar.
  2. Movement (Kiting): Constantly shift position, dodging enemy attacks.
  3. Expenditure (Nuke): Once Focus is built, dump it using Highwind Arrow or other powerful abilities for maximum damage.

4. Elarion Abilities

Focused Shot
Fire a well-aimed arrow at target enemy, dealing 1,125 - 1,375 physical damage.
Focused Shot

Celestial Impetus: Your Focused Shot hits have a chance to grant you Celestial Impetus for 15 seconds, making your next Celestial Shot to apply a stack of LunarLight Mark to the target. You can have up to 2 charges of Celestial Impetus at any one time. (2.0 PPM). Generates 20 Focus.
Celestial Shot
Fire a magical arrow at target enemy, dealing 1,800 - 2,200 magic damage to it.
Multishot

Fire multiple arrows at your enemies, each dealing 1,926 - 2,354 physical damage to them. When your Highwind Arrow ricochets to at least 3 enemies, you gain 1 charge of Multishot.
Highwind Arrow

Fire a Highwind Arrow, dealing 5,265 - 6,435 physical damage to target enemy. Highwind Arrow ricochets to up to 4 additional enemies near your target, dealing 1,151 - 1,861 physical damage to them. Your Haste is also applied as Cooldown Recovery on Highwind Arrow.
Starfall Volley

Fire a volley of celestial arrows into the sky that pelt the targeted location for 8 seconds, dealing 693 - 847 magic damage every 1 seconds to enemies within the radius.
Roll

Swiftly Roll in the direction you are moving. Roll does not cancel casting or channeling abilities. Can be used during Global Cooldown and while Casting.
Disrupting Shot

Instantly Interrupt target casting enemy and prevent them from casting for 4 seconds. Must interrupt a spell, or it will have no effect. Can be used during Global Cooldown.
Lunarlight Mark

Instantly apply 3 stacks of LunarLight Mark that lasts for 15 seconds to target enemy and up to 4 additional enemies near your target. Ability damage dealt to enemies with LunarLight Mark has a 25% chance to trigger LunarLight Salvo, causing a beam of celestial energy to strike them from above, dealing 1,872 - 2,288 magic damage. Critical strikes have a 50% chance to trigger LunarLight Salvo. Can be used during Global Cooldown.
Heartseeker Barrage

Let loose a barrage of arrows in quick succession at your target, dealing 1,098 - 1,342 physical damage every 0.2 seconds for 2 seconds while channeling. Can not be used while rolling.

5. Rotation and Priorities

Instead of a rigid rotation, playing Elarion is based on a priority system:

  • Maintain Distance: You are dead if the enemy gets close. Your mobility is your armor.
  • Efficient Focus Use: If Highwind Arrow is ready but Focus is low, fire a few Focused Shots first.

Combat Rotation:

  • Start: Focused Shot x2-3 (to build resource).
  • Main Damage: Highwind Arrow.
  • While Highwind Arrow is on cooldown: return to spamming Focused Shot.
  • Use utility/AoE skills (if available) to efficiently spend excess Focus.

6. Tips & Tricks

  • The ABC Rule (Always Be Casting): Since there is no movement penalty for casting, you should be pressing buttons every single second of the fight.
  • Strafe and Zigzag: Don't just run straight back from an enemy. Move in arcs or zigzags. You can shoot sideways while running forward, making you incredibly hard to pin down.
  • Save the Dash: While the dash can be used offensively for DPS, it is generally safer to reserve it for dodging dangerous boss mechanics or escaping immediate danger (AoE circles, enemy initiations).

7. Stat Priorities (Assumed)

Since Elarion is an Agility DPS, your gear priorities should look like this:

  1. Agility: The primary stat for increasing damage.
  2. Critical Hit (Crit): To maximize the burst damage potential of Highwind Arrow.
  3. Attack Speed / Haste: Allows you to generate Focus faster with Focused Shot, speeding up your entire damage cycle.
