WoW Forever Druids Can Turn Into Serpents With the Embrace of the Viper Set

WoW Forever Druids Can Turn Into Serpents With the Embrace of the Viper Set

A familiar Wailing Caverns armor set has an unexpected reward in the World of Warcraft: Forever beta. When a Druid equips all five pieces of Embrace of the Viper, their Cat Form takes on the appearance of a large serpent.

This is a visual change to Cat Form, not a newly announced Druid specialization or a separate form with its own abilities. It gives players a reason to collect the entire dungeon set, even if they would normally replace its individual pieces while leveling.

How the Serpent Appearance Works

The appearance has been observed on a Druid wearing the complete five-piece set. According to developer Zirene, the serpent's color varies by Druid race. It also has a distinct stealth behavior: when the Druid uses Prowl, the serpent lowers itself and slithers along the ground.

The set tooltip does not clearly explain the appearance change. It is also not yet confirmed whether wearing the set as a transmog is enough to activate it, or whether the appearance remains available after the armor is removed. For now, plan on equipping all five actual pieces if you want to try it in the beta.

All Five Embrace of the Viper Pieces

The set comes from Wailing Caverns. These are the five items to collect:

What Do the Set Bonuses Give?

Forever's beta version of the set also has updated bonuses:

  • 2 pieces: +10 Intellect.
  • 3 pieces: +10 Attack Power.
  • 4 pieces: Embrace of the Viper.
  • 5 pieces: Dream Venom, which gives melee attacks a chance to stun the target for one second in the current beta.

The serpent appearance and Dream Venom are worth keeping separate: the latter is a listed combat bonus, while the exact rules governing the visual transformation have not been fully explained in the tooltip.
