Hallow's End 2026 Is Live: Haunted Neighborhoods, New Decor and Returning Mounts
Hallow's End has returned to World of Warcraft, running from October 19 through November 2, 2026. The Headless Horseman is back in the Dungeon Finder, candy buckets are waiting across Azeroth, and collectors have another chance at the holiday's mounts, pets, and transmog.
This year's biggest addition is outside the dungeon. Housing neighborhoods now host their own Hallow's End celebrations, complete with ghost hunting, spider transformations, community activities, and decorations. Midnight also gets its own candy bucket achievement, giving returning players something new to collect between daily Horseman runs.

Haunted Neighborhoods Are the Main New Feature
Founder's Point and Razorwind Shores have joined the celebrations. Neighborhoods receive a Duskwood, Felwood, or Drustvar theme, bringing different decorations, candy, and themed objectives to the streets around player homes.
To get started, accept A Haunted Home from a Holiday Enthusiast and follow the introduction to Yin in your neighborhood. Nomi provides the holiday daily quests.
Three Daily Activities
- Trick-or-Treating: clean up Discarded Wrappers around neighborhood candy buckets to contribute to the shared celebration.
- Ghost Busting: equip Ghost Gear, capture ghosts, and deposit them in the Ghost Tank. Filling the tank summons a Shade of Seabreaker Skoloth; work together to pull it into a portal and reveal a reward chest.
- You're a Spider, Man: interact with a Webspinner Egg Sac, transform into a spider, and place webs around the neighborhood. The transformation lasts three minutes and allows up to ten webs; ending it triggers a 15-minute cooldown.
These activities fill the Neighborhood Contribution bar. Progress adds festive decorations and increases the candy available around the Holiday Hub's candy bucket.
Community Candy Crawl and the Wickerman Pinata
For 15 minutes every hour, Community Candy Crawl places candy buckets outside occupied housing plots. Collecting ten Neighborhood Candy completes the objective, awarding experience, two Tricky Treats, and three Neighborhood Candy.
The Wickerman pinata offers another shared activity. Complete its daily contribution quest, help fill it, then start the event and smash it for candy. Once it falls, collect the additional rewards before visiting a trader.
Check the Candy Exchange Rate
Neighborhood Candy and Tricky Treats are separate resources. Neighborhood Tricky Treat Traders exchange the former for the latter, but their rates differ between neighborhoods and refresh daily. Compare offers before trading a large stack.
New Achievements and Scarecrow Pepe
The 2026 update adds six achievements covering Midnight exploration and neighborhood activities. An older achievement also gains a housing reward.
| Achievement | What to Do |
|---|---|
| Tricks and Treats of Midnight | Visit the 15 candy buckets required across Midnight's zones. |
| Duskwood Caramel Crafter | Complete all three candy quests in a Duskwood-themed neighborhood. |
| Felwood Fudge Bite Former | Complete all three candy quests in a Felwood-themed neighborhood. |
| Drustvar Choc-O-Drop Designer | Complete all three candy quests in a Drustvar-themed neighborhood. |
| Sweet Tooth | Complete the Duskwood, Felwood, and Drustvar candy achievements. |
| I Ain't Afraid of No Ghost | Capture and deposit ten ghosts in any neighborhood. |
A Frightening Friend is not a new achievement, but its reward has changed: finding Pepe in his scarecrow costume now unlocks Scarecrow Pepe housing decor. If you already completed the achievement, check your collection for the new decoration.
New Housing Decor Is Much Cheaper Than Originally Planned
A pre-event hotfix reduced Tricky Treat prices for the affected decorations by 90%. Several pieces originally priced at 200 treats now cost 20, making repeat purchases considerably more practical for builders.
| Decoration | Tricky Treats |
|---|---|
| Heartsbane Stone Circle | 15 |
| Candlelit Shrieking Jack-o'-Lantern | 20 |
| Filled Candy Bucket | 20 |
| Horrific Head of the Horseman | 20 |
| Ominous Heartsbane Shrine | 25 |
There are gold-purchased decorations too. Visit Holly Twinklebright in Founder's Point or Jolli Maxiboom in Razorwind Shores for items including candles, scarecrows, and the Eternally Powered Glowskull.
Crafters can also purchase recipes for the Apple Bobbing Bucket through Inscription and the Spidery Witch Hat through Tailoring. Each recipe costs 20 Tricky Treats; purchasing the recipe is separate from crafting the decoration.
The Headless Horseman: Returning Mounts and Transmog
The Horseman's rewards remain a major reason to log in daily. These are returning collectibles, rather than new mount additions for 2026.

- The Headless Horseman's Ghoulish Charger can drop from the first eligible attempt of the day across your account. Extra runs on alts do not provide additional daily attempts for this mount.
- The Horseman's Reins remain available as a rare reward from the Loot-Filled Pumpkin.
- The Horseman's Ghoulish Collection contains nine appearances. Your first daily victory per character awards a missing piece until the collection is complete.
- Arfus is another possible Loot-Filled Pumpkin reward for pet collectors.
Characters can queue through the Dungeon Finder from level ten, but queue eligibility is not the same as mount-loot eligibility. The mount rewards come from the higher-level Loot-Filled Pumpkin, not the lower-level Loot-Stuffed Pumpkin.
