WoW Midnight Patch 12.0.7 — All New Transmog Sets: Petalweave, Azshara & N'Zoth
Patch 12.0.7 is shaping up to be one of the strongest cosmetic patches in Midnight's lifecycle. Beyond the Heroic World Tier system and Omnium Folio power progression, the PTR has surfaced four floral transmog ensembles, two N'Zoth-themed flying mounts, and a pair of Queen Azshara armor sets that instantly became some of the most discussed cosmetics the game has ever datamined. Here's a complete breakdown of everything visual coming in 12.0.7.
Petalweave Ensembles — Four Colors, One Stunning Set
Patch 12.0.7 is set to bring four of the prettiest transmog sets we've seen to the game. Featuring flowing florals and sheer sleeves, the Petalweave sets are set to become an instant fan-favourite.
The Petalweave line is built around a single silhouette — a full-length floral ensemble with sheer fabric details that drape differently depending on the armor slot combination — released in four distinct color variants. This kind of single-base-design multi-color release is rare for WoW transmog outside of raid tier sets, and the fact that all four look equally strong is rarer still.

As of now, the source for these cosmetics is unclear, though it is likely they will be available through the Trading Post or the shop.
Given the four-color structure and the non-class-specific design, Trading Post is the most likely home — seasonal cosmetics with broad appeal that don't require owning specific content. Each variant could appear in separate monthly rotations across the patch cycle, or all four could drop simultaneously. No pricing or unlock method has been confirmed from the PTR data.
N'Zoth Ray Mounts — Zothwing Darkseeker & Zothwing Deepseeker
There are two N'Zoth-themed ray mounts in Patch 12.0.7: the https://www.wowhead.com/ptr-2/item=268833/zothwing-darkseeker and https://www.wowhead.com/ptr-2/item=268834/zothwing-deepseeker. They both share N'Zoth motifs, with dark blues and purples as their main colors and multiple eyes across the model.
The Zothwing mounts are ray-style flying creatures — a model family that has appeared periodically throughout WoW's history. The N'Zoth treatment gives them a genuinely unsettling visual identity: every surface of the wings and body is studded with eyes of varying sizes, and the color palette shifts between midnight blue and deep purple depending on lighting conditions.

"A gift of N'Zoth, Zothwing Deepseekers are as at home in the crushing depths of Azeroth's oceans as they are the bitter cold of the void."
Azshara Ensembles — Darkscale and Deepscale Raiment
In addition to the mounts, two Queen Azshara-themed ensembles appear on the PTR: https://www.wowhead.com/ptr-2/item=269797/ensemble-azsharas-darkscale-raiment and https://www.wowhead.com/ptr-2/item=269809/ensemble-azsharas-deepscale-raiment. These share visual motifs with the N'Zoth mounts but also incorporate naga coloration.
The Azshara sets draw from the visual language of her BFA appearance — serpentine armor, elaborate headpieces, and flowing lower sections that reference her naga form without directly replicating it. Both sets fit into Midnight's Void-adjacent aesthetic far more naturally than their BFA origins might suggest.

The cloaks on both ensembles feature new versions of the particle effects originally seen on Legion Remix achievement cloaks. The Darkscale set has a more subtle void effect, while the Deepscale set uses a watery ripple effect. The cloak particle detail is the most technically ambitious part of either set — particle-effect transmog pieces remain rare enough that any new entry in the category draws immediate attention.
