Den of Nalorakk Dungeon Guide: Bosses, Mythic+ Strategy, Loot and Rewards

Den of Nalorakk is a three-boss Midnight dungeon featured in the Season 2 Mythic+ rotation. The dungeon is located in Harandar and uses a 32-minute Mythic+ timer, making it one of the longer Season 2 keys.

The dungeon mixes troll, bear, frost, and primal mechanics. Groups need clean interrupts, poison and magic dispels, controlled trash pulls, and strong movement on boss mechanics. The final boss, Nalorakk, is the main execution check.

Den of Nalorakk Location and Entrance

The Den of Nalorakk entrance is located in southwest Harandar. The main entrance waypoint is /way #2437 31.4 83.9.

Players who time Den of Nalorakk on +10 or higher unlock the dungeon teleport spell Path of the Worthy Aspirant.

Boss Strategy

The Hoardmonger Strategy

The Hoardmonger is a greed-themed first boss built around area damage, frontal attacks, and mushroom soaks. The core mechanic is Spoiled Supplies, which throws mushrooms into the arena.

Players should soak the mushrooms to prevent dangerous follow-up damage. Soaking applies Toxic Spores, so poison dispels are valuable here.

Dodge Earthshatter Slam, a frontal cone attack, and prepare healing cooldowns for Ravenous Bellow, which deals heavy group-wide damage and knockback.

Sentinel of Winter Strategy

Sentinel of Winter is a frost encounter where positioning matters. The safest rule is simple: stand in the eye of the storm when the boss uses Frozen Tempest. Damage increases if players are outside the safe area.

Dispel Glacial Torment and kill the adds from Shattering Frostspike. When adds die, handle the Rimeshatter soak mechanics quickly.

Wowhead also notes that tanking the boss on top of an add corpse can prevent the push effect from the storm, which can make the encounter easier to stabilize.

Nalorakk Strategy

Nalorakk is the final boss and the dungeon's main execution check. During Echoing Maul, marked players should place bear echoes near the edge of the room to keep the center clean.

When Nalorakk casts Overwhelming Onslaught, players need to hide behind Zul'jarra's shield to reduce the damage. This is the mechanic most likely to wipe groups that are slow to move.

Forceful Slam is a tank soak that hits hard, so tanks should plan mitigation. During Fury of the War God, Bear Echoes charge toward Zul'jarra and need to be soaked correctly.

Trash Tips for Mythic+

Pull Spirit of Hunger carefully. These mobs are dangerous and should not be stacked recklessly with other heavy damage packs.
Watch the second area count. The second section has a lot of trash, including smaller lieutenants that give limited count.
Assign interrupts before each large pull. Healing Breeze, Arc Lightning, and Winter's Shroud can punish loose groups.
Bring purge value if possible. Mother's Wrath and Bestial Wrath are both important enrage-style effects.
Do not waste time after Sentinel of Winter. Clean routing after boss two matters because Den of Nalorakk has a longer timer but still punishes messy pulls.
