The meta is now in its most mature state of Season 1. With the key ceiling pushed to +22 and 8.2 million parses in the dataset, the rankings reflect weeks of refinement at the highest levels of play. Two major shakeups define this update: Unholy Death Knight cracked S-tier for the first time this season, and Devourer Demon Hunter jumped from A-tier all the way to S. The spec landscape above +18 looks different from anything we've seen in the first eight weeks.

How This Tier List Works

Archon ranks specs using Mythic+ Score — a composite metric pulled directly from the official Blizzard leaderboard that captures all runs, including those not logged to Warcraft Logs. Score is a better indicator of real high-end performance than raw DPS because it factors in utility, survivability, and overall contribution to key completion. DPS values shown are 95th percentile at +22. The higher the key, the harder specs are tested and the more these rankings diverge from what you see on a +10 dashboard.

Dungeon Ease Tier List — +7 to +22

Archon tracks timer completion rates across all dungeons. This shows which runs are genuinely easier to time versus which ones consistently punish groups.

Notable shift from last week: Windrunner Spire dropped from A-tier to C-tier as the key ceiling expanded to +22. The dungeon's later sections become significantly more punishing at higher key levels than data from +19 and below suggested. Algeth'ar Academy and Nexus-Point Xenas join it at the bottom — both reward deep familiarity and punish groups that don't know the routes. Maisara Caverns hit a +23 max key — the only dungeon in the pool to break that ceiling, confirming it's where the strongest groups are pushing.

The Big Picture — Week 9

The three-spec S-tier is the defining story of the final weeks of Season 1. Unholy DK and Devourer DH joining Augmentation Evoker at the top represents the most competitive top end the season has produced. The gap between S-tier and A-tier is measurable at +20 and above — specs like Demo Warlock, Ret Paladin, and Arms Warrior remain excellent, but the ceiling on S-tier specs is now clearly higher.

Two things to watch heading into the final push: Ret Paladin's 957,177 parses make it the most-played spec in the dataset by a significant margin, yet it sits mid-A-tier rather than S — that gap between popularity and performance is where most groups are leaving score on the table. And Devastation Evoker at the bottom of C-tier is a warning for anyone still maining it in Season 1 — the spec needs a significant tuning pass before Season 2 to be relevant.
