Ruby Life Pools is a returning Dragonflight dungeon featured in the Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ rotation. The dungeon is located in The Waking Shores and uses a 28-minute Mythic+ timer.
The dungeon has three bosses, heavy fire and frost mechanics, dangerous caster packs, add-control checks, and a final boss where players need clean fire placement and strong movement. Boss Strategy
Melidrussa Chillworn Strategy

Melidrussa Chillworn is the first boss of Ruby Life Pools and still revolves around frost damage, Hailburst bombs, Chillstorm movement, and Infused Whelp waves. In Midnight Season 2, Frigid Shard is interruptible, which makes kick timing more important and gives tanks more room to survive.
Dodge Hailburst and avoid getting knocked into Hailbombs when Chillstorm ends. Hailbombs are less lethal than the original version, but they still apply a heavy Haste reduction if a player hits them.
At 66% and 33% health, Melidrussa begins Frost Overload and summons Infused Whelps. Break the shield quickly so the boss can be interrupted again, then clean up the whelps before Cold Claws stacks get out of hand.
Kokia Blazehoof Strategy

Kokia Blazehoof is the fire boss of Ruby Life Pools. The fight is built around Ritual of Blazebinding, Molten Boulder, and heavy tank damage from Searing Blows.
Place Ritual of Blazebinding close enough for the group to kill the Blazebound Firestorm quickly, but not so close that the add death explosion or Scorched Earth blocks the group's movement. Interrupt Blaze Volley every time it is available.
Molten Boulder now has clearer visuals, but it can still become dangerous if it hits terrain too early. Kite Kokia around the ring slowly, keep open space for boulders, and use defensives for Searing Blows and Searing Wounds.
Kyrakka and Erkhart Stormvein Strategy

Kyrakka and Erkhart Stormvein are the final boss encounter. Kyrakka begins airborne while Erkhart fights the party directly, then Kyrakka lands later in the fight. The main rule is simple: damage Kyrakka whenever possible, because the dragon is the more dangerous part of the encounter.
Place Inferno Spit fire patches out of the way and dodge Roaring Firebreath. In Midnight Season 2, Winds of Change pushes less aggressively than the original version, but bad fire placement can still ruin the platform.
Stop casting before Interrupting Cloudburst, and use defensive cooldowns for unavoidable group damage. Tanks should plan mitigation for Stormslam and coordinate dispels so the Nature vulnerability does not overlap badly.
Trash Tips for Mythic+
- Plan a high-count route. Wowhead notes that Ruby Life Pools requires pulling almost everything in the dungeon, with only limited room to skip trash.
- Kill the first miniboss to open the door. The locked door before Melidrussa requires defeating the miniboss in front of it.
- Assign kicks before the first boss. Flashfrost Chillweaver and other early casters can slow the key badly if interrupts are loose.
- Respect Flamegullet but use the new cap. Its damage increase stacks are capped in Season 2, making it less likely to scale out of control.
- Use the easier final trash section to recover time. Wowhead notes that trash before the last boss is significantly easier and no longer has major kick checks.
