How Archon's Tier List Works
Archon ranks specs by Popularity — a metric that accounts for both raw damage and how frequently players actually bring a spec into groups at high key levels. A spec can deal strong damage but rank lower if the community doesn't trust it in practice. DPS values shown are 95th percentile at +10. The further you climb, the more these rankings reflect real in-group value rather than sim numbers.

Archon's Dungeon Ease rankings show which dungeons groups complete within the timer most consistently at +7 to +18. Higher popularity with higher success rates = easier dungeon.

The Big Picture
Midnight Mythic+ Season 1 rewards sustained pressure over burst windows. The specs dominating the top — Augmentation Evoker, Demonology Warlock, Frost Mage, Subtlety Rogue — all share one trait: they keep dealing damage between cooldown cycles without needing a perfect setup to justify the spec's existence. Above +12, survivability becomes a real differentiator alongside DPS. Players who die contribute zero damage — specs with stronger self-sustain and higher survivability ratings move up in practical value compared to what raw numbers alone suggest.
Black Cat arrives in Season 7.5 in April. Expect continued tuning passes before then — the meta will look similar to this, but numbers will shift.
